Hogwarts and all

Last week was full of new releases, so it’s no surprise that there’s a load of new entries in the chart. Actually, some of them are surprises – the license-free Overlord at #13, Hour of Victory at #23 and the utter rubbish Tenchu Z at #31. Cowboy thing Call of Juarez at #26 startles me too, seeing that it crept up from almost nowhere.

As guessed by my fine self, Harry Potter & The Order of the Phoenix has charted the highest, taking top spot. It’ll probably be there for a while. The Darkness is in at #2 and Resident Evil 4: Wii Edition at #4 – which is unexpectedly high seeing as it isn’t exactly a new game. Shrek the Turd is on the up, going from #13 to #3 while Forza 2 has fallen five places. More Brain Training from Dr. Kawashima makes its mark at #5, and Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six: Vegas is back in the top ten, presumably as it’s reduced somewhere.

To make way for all these new entries a lot of titles have taken a drop, most significantly Rise of the Silver Surfer, Tomb Raider: Anniversary and Mario Strikers Charged Football. Over in the single format charts, G1 Jockey on Wii goes in at #14, while on PSP Virtua Tennis 3 is bizarrely sitting on top of the pile, managing to keep Mr. Potter away.
