Gamestation trade themselves in

GAME are now closer to having a monopoly on the UK highstreet, as they’ve bought out Gamestation for £74 million. MCV have some more on the story, talking about financials and shareholders.

This is unlikely to be good news for anyone – smelly as many Gamestation stores were, they were GAME’s only direct competition. Many towns already have two or three GAME stores, so now the situation’s likely to be even worse. At least we’ve got online stores.
