WH Smith and Play.com have joined the ranks of retailers slashing the price of the PS3. WH Smith are offering the PS3 for £399, but only until 10th April, so if you want one you’ve got to hurry. Play meanwhile, are offering the PS3 for the same price, but chucking in a free HDMI cable and Click on Blu-Ray, so you can see Adam Sandler’s awful face in even higher resolution.
However, the slashing of the prices doesn’t seem to have anything to do with PS3 sales, as Play have also knocked down the price of the Xbox 360 as well. You can now get a Core pack with Viva Piñata and a memory unit for only £195 and the Premium pack with Gears Of War, Crackdown and Pro Evolution Soccer 6 for £290.
