Microsoft’s marketing men strike back

Nintendo didn’t resort to childish (yet amusing) willy waving for the European PlayStation 3 launch, which left the door open for Microsoft to put the boot in.

Over at London’s Virgin Megastore PlayStation 3 camp-out, marketing men handed out folding chairs emblazoned with shkyw.org (Shouldn’t Have Kept You Waiting), while UK journalists were sent 168 cans (£146 worth) of Fosters – the difference in beer between an Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. If it looks like the spell checker is on the blip over at Eurogamer next week then you’ll know why.

The big finale was saved for the Paris launch, where a barge sailed through the capital covered in “XBOX 360 ♥ YOU” banners – have a look at the video here, if only to hear a French man actually laughing.
