There’s a small shake up in the top 5 this week, the most noteworthy going on being Canis Canem Edit moving up from #8 to #5. In mid-December it was right down at #23, so it’s good to see it spring back into the top 5. Of course, this is down to it being discounted in the sales.
FIFA 07 has held onto the top spot, with Need for Speed Carbon and The Sims 2: Pets taking spots #2 and #3. Pro Evolution Soccer 6 is the other title the top 5, at #4.
Nintendo should be happy: seven DS-exclusives titles are in the Top 40, the highest of them New Super Mario Bros. at #9. Zelda: Twilight Princess is back in the chart too, although at a rather poor #36. In the GameCube chart, the excellent Chibi Robo has re-entered at #7. Perhaps Nintendo saw sense and manufacutured more copies.
After last week’s moment of madness, Zelda has knocked Red Steel off the top spot in the Wii chart. Speaking of which, Far Cry: Vengeance has made its mark at #9. It’s awful, apparently, so with a bit of luck it’ll be out altogether next week.
