Goodbye, our purple pal

It’s a sad day for the GameCube. The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is likely to be the last Nintendo-published game for the system. Going by the scarceness of the PAL versions of Lego Star Wars II, Flushed Away and Naturo 2 it’ll be something of a challenge to actually find a copy anyway. Your best bet is to stick to the usual online retailers, but you probably already knew that. You’re not stupid.

There’s not much else out today, really. A few more Wii games – SpongeBob SquarePants, Gottlieb Pinball Classics and puzzler Fruitfall – and a trio of probably rubbish DS games from Ubisoft – Star Wars: Lethal Alliance, Catz 2006 and Dogz 2006.

Somebody should tell them that there are only 17 days of 2006 left.
