Despite being around since the days of the PlayStation 2, Zumba Fitness was 505 Games’ first ever #1 when it was released about a month ago. It has now taken the top spot for a third time, knocking off Portal 2 which was #1 last week. Portal 2 is now at #2, followed by Mortal Kombat at #3.

A belated PlayStation 3 version of Sniper: Ghost Warrior – which was ruddy rubbish on Xbox 360 but still sold very well – sees it re-enter at #15. I wonder if it would have sold this well if PSN was back up? It’s primarily a single player game, after all.

Worryingly, there isn’t a single 3DS title in the top 40. Proving that the original DS isn’t dead yet though is Plants vs Zombies, which makes a surprisingly high entry at #16 in the DS chart.

Zumba Fitness became 505 Games’ first ever #1 last week. It’s still at #1 this week, so it’s not hard to imagine that they’re pretty pleased about that. If another Zumba game isn’t released in time for Christmas I’ll happily eat my own weight in lard.

Promotion, of some kind, has helped FIFA 11 rise back into the top 10 – it was at #12 but now it’s back at #4. LEGO Harry Potter: Years 1 to 4 has risen back up too, presumably thanks to the DVD release of whatever the last film was called.

The Kinect and Move versions of Michael Jackson: The Experience were amongst last week’s new releases and have helped Jackson re-enter the chart at #15. 64% of sales were for the Kinect iteration, according to the ever-so informative chaps at Chart Track.

In the single formats Patapon 3 marches in at #10 in the PSP chart, WSC Real 2011 at #36 in the Xbox 360 chart and LEGO Ninjago at an impressive #8 in the DS chart.

I should have saved last week’s ‘Aye carumba – it’s Zumba’ headline for this week – Zumba Fitness now at #1 in the chart, pushing Crysis 2 to #2. It’s the first ever #1 for 505 Games and also the first fitness game to take the top of the chart since Wii Fit Plus in 2009.

Following Crysis 2 are Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars, Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12 and Shift 2: Unleashed. Dynasty Warriors 7 enters at #10. Surprised? Don’t be – Chart-Track tells us due to the hot weather last week was a very slow week with heavy drops in sale figures.

Over in the Xbox 360 chart Brunswick Pro Bowling enters at #29 while Carnival Games: In Action makes an appearance at #38. The US name for the later is Carnival Games: Monkey See, Monkey Do, would you believe?

A random fact, there.

The eye-ball pleasing Crysis 2 has managed to stay at the top of the chart for another week. The game at #2 may surprise you – it isn’t MotorStorm Apocalyspe (which makes its appearance at a lowly #17) or Shift 2: Unleashed (in at #4) but rather Zumba Fitness. Not wanting to blow my own trumpet or anything, but I did have a feeling it would be quite popular.

Tiger Woods PGA Tour 12: The Masters and WWE All Stars go in at #6 and #7 respectively.

MotorStorm Apocalypse’s slightly rubbish placing is likely to be because it was delayed and Sony didn’t do a very good job at telling people the new release date (last Thursday).

Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition is the highest placed 3DS game at #16, followed by Pilotwings Resort at #21, Rayman 3D at #23, Super Monkey Ball 3D at #29, Ridge Racer 3D at #30 and Nintendogs + Cats at #32.
