The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks was the only decent game out last week, so I wasn’t expecting much action in the top 10 chart this week. Something very odd has happened though – Ubisoft’s Just Dance has gone all the way from #30 to #8. Reviews have been appalling – the average review score currently stands at 35% – so I’m guessing that it has been advertised on TV or something.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is still #1, while James Cameron’s Avatar: The Game is doing better in its second week of release now at #29. The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks misses out of a top 10 ranking, having to make do with #12.
The chance of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 being Christmas #1? Almost a dead cert I’d say. Unless even more morons buy Just Dance…

This Week’s Games
It has been a middling year for DS releases but at least The Legend of Zelda: Spirit Tracks helps it go out with a bang. “Spirit Tracks must be the happiest, most heart-warming Zelda to date,” claims Eurogamer who awarded it a 9.
I’ve just had a look at GameRankings to see what the review scores for Tekken 6 on PSP have been like, only to discover that it has scored higher than the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions. It’s currently at 83%, compared to 80% for the other two. Not a massive difference but slightly interesting nonetheless.
Alvin and the Chipmunks: The Squeakquel is the only other game out, no doubt destined to be purchased by easily mislead children and clueless parents this Christmas. I can’t find a single review, which is never a good sign.
Next week: Nintendo Presents: Crossword Collection and Buzz! Quiz World look like being the last releases of 2009, unless you count PSP UMD movie releases.
