Black Ops III enjoys Christmas sales boost

With sales up 40% over last week, Call of Duty: Black Ops III claims the UK chart’s top spot for a third consecutive week. This week’s top 40 includes pre-Christmas and Boxing Day sales, incidentally.

Positions #2 through to #4 remain unchanged – Star Wars Battlefront at #2 (sales up 16%), FIFA 16 at #3 (up 20%) and Fallout 4 at #4 (up 13%).

GTA V moved up three places to fill #5. Sales of Rockstar’s crime caper rose 58%.

The rest of the UK’s top ten comprises of Just Cause 3, Assassin’s Creed Syndicate, Minecraft: Story Mode, Rainbow Six: Siege and finally WWE 2K16 at #10.

Microsoft’s big exclusives remain just outside the top ten for a second week – Forza Motorsport 6 at #12, Halo 5: Guardians at #13 and Rise of the Tomb Raider at #15.

Sony’s Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection meanwhile is at #11.

Chart-Track reports that there’s another chart to come before the year is out. Will Black Ops III take the top spot for a fourth week running? It seems very likely.
