Everything changes but the chart

Similar to earlier this month, the majority of the UK’s top 10 remains the same as last week. That means FIFA 14 is still on top, followed by Call of Duty: Ghosts, Battlefield 4 and Assassin’s Creed IV.

At #5 it’s LEGO Marvel Super Heroes and then at #6 – up two places – it’s Killzone: Shadow Fall. This suggests to us that PlayStation 4 consoles are now freely available at retail.

NFS Rivals holds fast at #7, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition is at #8, GTA V at #9 and then at #10 for a second week we find Aliens: Colonial Marines.

New arrival Mario Party: Island Tour will be remembered for being the first release of 2014, if nothing else. That’s in at #18 – a much high position than we envisioned. It’s #1 in the 3DS chart, incidentally, poking Pokemon X down to #2.

Back over in the top 40, Super Mario 3D World has re-appeared, albeit at a lowly #37.

The Xbox One-exclusives meanwhile are scattered all over the place – Forza Motorsport 5 at #12, Dead Rising 3 at #17 and Ryse: Son of Rome at #27.

As for Knack – a game that’s bound to linger in bargain bins for the rest of the PlayStation 4’s lifespan – that’s currently at #21, up from #27.
