LEGO Marvel Super Heroes gets off to a marvellous start

LEGO Marvel Super Heroes couldn’t topple Call of Duty: Ghosts from the top spot of the UK chart, instead having to make do with #2.

Warner Bros. and Traveller’s Tales shouldn’t feel down though – it’s still the fastest selling LEGO game since 2008’s LEGO Indiana Jones.

FIFA 14, Battlefield 4 and Assassin’s Creed IV round off this week’s top five.

There are no new entries in the top 20, but there is a re-entry – Professor Layton and the Miracle Mask. Presumably that’s down to Argos’ 3DS XL bundle that comes with both 3D Laytons.

At #21 we find new arrival Ratchet & Clank: Nexus followed shortly after by XCOM: Enemy Within at #25.

That’s all for new entries in the top 40 for this week.

Over in the single-format charts Adventure Time: Explore the Dungeon Because I Don’t Know enters at #30 in the PlayStation 3 chart and #18 in the Xbox 360 chart while Castlevania: Lords of Shadow Collection and WRC 4 make belated appearances also in the PlayStation 3 chart at #18 and #23 respectively.

With the Xbox One launching this Friday, next Monday’s chart should be a tad more exciting.
