Stock shortages can’t be good news for Payday 2’s launch week sales, but it still manages to take the top spot of the UK chart regardless.

For those not aware, the Xbox 360 version has seemingly sold out everywhere online and is currently selling for £50+ on eBay due to 505 Games underestimating demand.

With Brothers selling well on XBLA, 505 Games must be feeling pleased. Starbreeze had a helping hand in both of these games. We like Starbreeze.

With Payday 2 at #1, Minecraft: Xbox 360 Edition drops to #2. Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 rises from #7 to #3, FIFA 13 drops from #2 to #4 and Animal Crossing: New Leaf remains at #5.

Tales of Xillia is the week’s biggest faller, plunging from #4 all the way down to #29.

The delightful Pikmin 3 is about to vanish from the chart too, currently clinging to #37.

Next week’s chart should be an interesting one – five big name titles are being released this Friday.
