With reports that a million copies were sold within 48 hours, it’s no surprise that Tomb Raider is this week’s new number one.

It’s the best selling game of the year so far, selling double what previous top seller Aliens: Colonial Marines managed to, and the fastest selling Tomb Raider since 2006’s Legend.

There are lots other happenings of note in the UK top 40 this week too. In fact, we very nearly had an all new top five, which is something that rarely happens.

At #2 it’s SimCity, the apparently pretty good Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3 at #3, The Sims 3: University Life at #4 and rounding off the top 5 is familiar face FIFA 13.

A very good week for EA, then, seeing that they publish three of the top five.
