Hitman: Absolution gets ahead

Call of Duty: Black Ops II is the UK’s #1 for a fifth week running, but what’s this at #2? It’s Hitman: Absolution all the way up from #6. This is likely to be because Agent 47’s latest is currently available for £19.99 at just about every UK retailer. Yes, even in GAME.

FIFA 13, Just Dance 4 and Far Cry 3 finish off the top five.

There are plenty of Mario games in the chart, with the highest being New Super Mario Bros. 2 at #19, but New Super Mario Bros. U and Paper Mario: Sticker Star (which entered at a poor #39 last week) have now both left the chart entirely.

In fact, the only Wii U game present is Nintendo Land at #39, down from #26. As we mentioned a few week ago though, both Nintendo Land and ZombiU are available in Wii U bundles and it’s these Premium Packs that most gamers have gone for. We are slightly concerned about NSMBU’s vanishing act, however, seeing as it’s not yet available in a bundle. It’s currently #2 in the Wii U chart.

There are also a few re-entries at the lower end of the top 40 this week, including Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified at #34. Santa must be out buying presents for naughty children.

Remember to come back next week, where we’ll no doubt be reporting that Call of Duty: Black Ops II is the Christmas #1.
