With Costume Quest done and dusted, Double Fine have now started to detail their next game – a third-person adventure entitled Stacking. The game gets its peculiar name from the fact that it stars Russian stacking dolls, with the aim being to help re-unite the youngest one with his family.

As long as another character isn’t facing lead-character Charlie Blackmore he can stack inside any doll larger than himself and use their abilities.

“I’m just glad we got out there first, because by this time next year, all games are going to star Russian nesting dolls. Mark my words”, said Double Fine’s Lee Petty on their website. You’ll also find a few more screenshots over there too.

It’s due out next spring on Xbox Live Arcade and PSN via THQ.
